Cardiothoracic Surgery Section - Residency Program
An approved three-year postgraduate residency is available in the Section of Cardiac Surgery. The program admits 2 residents each year, giving the program a total of 6 residents at any given time. The program is approved by the RRC for Thoracic Surgery and residents are eligible for board certification from the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS). The residency and student teaching programs continue to be based on a large number of and variety of operations and disease states in the fields of thoracic, cardiac, and vascular surgery.
